I had the strangest dream.
When I woke up this morning
I could barely breath.
Nothing scary,
I just wasn't where I thought I'd be.
Once I landed I new
where I thought I'd been.
It all came swelling back to me.
Everything I saw,
I knew had been there all along.

even long after it's buried.

I've got enough responsibility.
Overdo it. That's how I do it.

A few years ago
I left a note in my phone.
It said, "Sleep more".
I couldn't have meant that.
Did I forget to add the /s?
Or was I stressed
about some dumbass test.
Man, I'm glad I never have to do that again.
I guess I passed.
I go to work I pass.
I kinda just wanna eat
pretzels and humus tonight.

A few weeks ago
something was wrong.
So I bought myself a dress
cut my nose hairs, moved on.
I'm trying to reset,
but the switch is worn down.
It doesn't click anymore
and it no longer makes sound.
I've done my best
to impress and express.
I write a song I pass.
